X60 Ultra Feature Overview:
As Dreame’s latest flagship product, the X60 series features a design and a range of core functions that align with its high-end positioning, marking a significant upgrade over the previous X50 series.
The X60 Ultra is available in black and white color options. The upgraded base station design embodies the concept of “understated luxury,” featuring clean, crisp lines paired with a brushed metal finish and subtle matte gold accents. This creates a refined and sophisticated appearance that exudes high-end quality without being ostentatious.

- The internal module layout has been upgraded, resulting in a new design featuring a 3.13in (79.5 mm) ultra-slim body with a retractable radar, enabling flexible cleaning in low-Clearance Areas.
- Compared to previous models, its dual-camera obstacle avoidance system has been optimized to accurately detect and avoid over 280 types of obstacles, significantly improving edge-following efficiency and the cleaning coverage under table and chair legs.
- The mechanical legs are another highlight. With a threshold clearance ranging from 2.36in (60 mm) to 3.47in (88 mm), door thresholds are no longer a headache when cleaning.
- Equipped with 35,000 Pa of powerful suction, it features the HyperStream Duo Divide anti-tangle dual-eel roller brush with a pressure plate, efficiently removing particles from carpet and crevices and hair.
- The X60 Ultra’s mop pad retains heat up to 40°C and simulates manual pressure with 15N of force, effectively tackling stubborn stains like kitchen grease.
- Its AI Blue Light Dirt Detection identifies different types of stains and adjusts cleaning strategies in real time.
- The multifunctional, maintenance-free docking station offers innovative features such as 100°C high-temperature mop pad sterilization and a dual-chamber cleaning system.

Detailed Analysis of Test Items:
- Navigating Under Low Clearances
As the slimmest robot vacuum to date, the X60 Ultra can easily navigate under clearances as low as 3.15in —such as under beds and sofas—when its LiDAR sensor is lowered, allowing it to clean hard-to-reach areas in the home.

In our test, we set up a wooden barrier 3.15in(80mm) above the floor. After initially approaching a low obstacle and moving around it for a few seconds, the X60 Ultra lowered its radar and easily passed through the suspended barrier.
- Obstacle Avoidance
According to Dreame, the X60 Ultra features a human-eye-inspired obstacle avoidance system that uses dual high-precision wide-angle cameras to perform pixel-level stereo matching, allowing it to generate detailed depth information of surrounding objects.Based on the depth maps captured within the effective field of view of the dual-camera setup, the system is claimed to achieve millimeter-level detection accuracy — accurately identifying not only large furniture such as chairs, beds, and sofas, but also smaller objects like charging cables and toy blocks nearby.Dreame also states that the system can effectively reduce false obstacle detections caused by floor textures, tile patterns, and reflected spotlight glare on the floor surface.

Therefore, in our test, we prepared three types of small-volume obstacles—a lego brick, a credit card, and a black cable—as well as two types of relatively large-volume obstacles—a glass cup and a metal base. Among these, the Lego brick was not detected and sucked under the roller brush, while the metal base was struck during obstacle-avoidance cleaning. In contrast, the black cable, credit card and glass cup were both detected, and the robot successfully navigated around them to complete cleaning.

- Stain detection

The AI Blue Light Detection feature illuminates and identifies fine particles, dust, and other stains in dark, narrow spaces, and accurately detects difficult-to-see stains such as colorless and light-colored liquids. It claims to employ different cleaning strategies based on the type of stain identified and uses light assistance to reduce the likelihood of misidentifying dirt—such as mistaking tile patterns for stains.
In our tests, we spilled three types of liquids— clear, light-colored, and dark colored liquids onto a wooden floor. We also evaluated its performance in identifying and cleaning up clumps of hair and larger particles.

We found that the average cleaning efficiency for liquids, large particles, and hair clumps was 84%, 89%, and 94%, respectively, while the average false detection rate was around 5.6%.

- Obstacle Climbing
Thanks to its slim profile, advanced mechanical legs, and exceptional chassis lift capability, the Dreame X60 achieves the highest climbing threshold ever recorded. In two separate tests, the X60 effortlessly cleared a combination of steps measuring 1.77in(45mm) and 1.69in(43mm) in height.

- Corners & Crevices Cleaning
For this test, we also prepared some fine particles to evaluate the X60 Ultra’s cleaning and pickup performance in challenging hard-to-reach areas such as corners and crevices. The average sweeping and mopping efficiency in corners was 83.62%, while the cleaning efficiency in crevices using the Max mode (with boost activated) was 57.19%.

- Hair Removal & Anti-Tangle

The X60 Ultra features up to 35,000 Pa of suction power and an upgraded dual anti-tangle roller brush system with a pressure boost plate, which effectively dislodges dust and particles from deep within carpet fibers. The rubber strip at the front of the roller brush has also been upgraded from a thin strip to a thickened, flat oval shape to enhance the beating force. Additionally, conductive particles have been added to the nylon bristles of the side brush to effectively counteract static electricity generated by friction.
During testing, we prepared a mix of long and short hair of varying amounts to simulate the floor conditions in a pet-owning household. In standard mode with single-pass cleaning, the average hair removal efficiency was 98.58% on tile floors and 95.17% on carpets.

After cleaning tiles, the dual roller brushes showed no hair entanglement, while the side brush had one 300mm strand of human hair tangled in it. After cleaning carpets, both the dual roller brushes and the side brush had picked up loose hair, and the lower chamber was clogged with a large amount of human hair.

- Debris Pick Up
In addition to its fully upgraded sweeping, mopping, and suction capabilities, the Dreame X60Ultra features a two-position chassis adjustment function. Users can set the app to keep the chassis raised during carpet cleaning, allowing it to handle carpets up to 20mm thick. We scattered different types of particulate matter on tile floors, as well as in the center and along the top and bottom edges of short-pile red and blue carpets, to test the machine’s cleaning efficiency.

In single-sweep mode, its cleaning efficiency on tile was 94.61%; in boost mode, its cleaning efficiency on the short-pile red carpet was 94.95%. However, during the edge cleaning test on the short-pile blue carpet, the X60 Ultra’s cleaning path was erratic. With the boost function enabled in standard sweep-and-mop mode, the average cleaning efficiency was 75.3%. Additionally, we rigorously tested its deep-cleaning performance on medium-to-long-pile carpets by placing mixed debris and activating the carpet boost mode. However, the test showed an average single-sweep efficiency of only 42.49%.

From our testing, the booster plate does noticeably improve suction efficiency by increasing vacuum pressure, especially when it comes to pulling fine dust and embedded particles out of carpet fibers.
That said, the results are a bit different with larger debris on shag carpets. Instead of drawing bigger particles directly into the intake, the booster plate can sometimes act more like a plow, pushing debris forward before the robot is able to capture it.
- Removal of dried and wet stains

The X60Ultra uses a 40°C phase-change thermal storage mop to maintain a constant temperature for mopping with warm water. The mop head, which applies 15N of pressure, mimics the way a human hand presses against the floor, delivering powerful cleaning performance against stubborn stains.
We conducted tests on various types of wet and dry stains to evaluate its mopping capabilities. After air-drying, coffee and grape juice of varying concentrations were completely removed within five cycles. Three types of wet stains—sunscreen, ketchup, and peanut butter—were cleaned in three, four, and ten cycles, respectively.

- Edge Mopping
Thanks to its dual-camera obstacle avoidance system, the X60 Ultra can detect obstacles with greater precision, cleaning closer to them to minimize missed areas and achieve optimal edge coverage along walls, table legs, and other obstacles.
We soaked a cloth in colored liquid and ran the robot along the walls in mopping mode to calculate the uncovered colored area. Test results show that the upgraded mop’s extended coverage function achieves a straight-line coverage rate of up to 99.94% along edges.

- Battery Efficiency
We also let the robot run all the way until the battery died to test its real-world runtime efficiency. The results weren’t particularly impressive — in Standard vacuum-and-mop mode, the X60 Ultra averaged only 0.61 m² per minute.
- Multi-Function & Maintenance-Free Dock—100°C (212°F) high-temperature mop washing, dual-chamber cleaning, dust collection performance & filtration (HEPA filter clogging)

The X60Ultra’s base station cleaning chassis is equipped with a heating assembly that can raise the surface temperature to a maximum of 100°C (212°F). This enables high-temperature, heat-retaining mop washing, effectively removing stubborn grease and grime while simultaneously killing bacteria and viruses on the mop. Upon exiting the base station, the mop reaches a temperature exceeding 40°C and maintains a temperature of 30°C for approximately one minute.
To test the heating effect, we placed a frozen shrimp in the cleaning tray and observed its changes as the temperature rose. First, we attached a thermocouple sensor directly to the heating plate, then returned the robot to the docking station and activated the heating function via the app. When the temperature reached 90°C, we removed the device and placed the frozen shrimp inside; after about one minute, the shrimp was fully cooked and had changed color.

Dreame has also pioneered a dual-compartment cleaning module with compartments A and B. Compartment A is used for floor cleaning solution, while compartment B is designed to hold pet deodorizer, meeting the diverse needs of pet-owning households.
However, due to the X60 Ultra’s slim profile, its dustbin capacity is significantly reduced to just 235 milliliters, meaning users will need to empty the dustbin more frequently during use.
Additionally, to evaluate dustbin clogging and auto-empty performance, we prepared a mixed debris test consisting of 7 different types of contaminants.

Before the test began, the initial weights of both the dustbin and the HEPA filter were measured and recorded. After the robot continuously cleaned the test area to completion, we separately measured the weights of the dustbin and HEPA filter both after cleaning and after the auto-empty process. This allowed us to evaluate the X60’s auto dust collection performance and observe the HEPA dust load under heavy debris conditions.


The dustbin successfully collected a significant amount of debris, but the HEPA filter became severely clogged with large particles, fine dust, and some pet hair. Test results showed an average automatic dust collection efficiency of 93.18%, while 2.589 grams of dust and fine particles accumulated on the HEPA filter.
Summary:
Based on our tests, the X60 Ultra performed exceptionally well in pet hair removal, obstacle avoidance, and edge cleaning, with overall cleaning performance showing a significant improvement over the previous generation. However, there is still room for improvement in more challenging scenarios, particularly when cleaning medium- to long-pile carpets and narrow crevices.
